Property Validation Tables

These entries are used when registering a new piece of property for an employee, an incumbent or a position – the property type chosen will determine the properties which are made available.

Property Type

This is the umbrella under which individual property items will be grouped such as security, company car or information technology. The HR report Employee Property Listing can be filtered on this value. Property types can be edited by double clicking on the existing property type and making changes. To create a new property type, click on the Add New button and then enter a new property type description.

Property

These are the individual property items, each linked to a single property type. Laptop, BlackBerry®, Bluetooth and mobile phone are all properties which can be grouped under the communications property type. The HR reports Employee Property Listing and Outstanding Property Listing can be filtered on this value.

Editing or Creating New Property:

  1. Double click an existing entry to edit it, or click on the Add New button to create a new entry.
  2. Complete the following information as required:

DescriptionEnter a title for the property, as you wish it to appear in the property module and on reports.
Property TypeSelect the relevant property type from the drop-down list or click Add New to create a new one as you work.
NotesEnter any notes relevant to the property.
